Ecology Online Forums Open to the Public

For some time now we have been developing an online Ecology Forums site with the help of our members. After listening to their opinions and suggestions we are now ready to move on from the pilot phase and open the Forums to the general public.
The Ecology Forums offer a place where anyone can share their opinions, knowledge and experience of matters relating to green building, environmental matters, the Ecology Building Society and its products, sustainable banking, and general financial issues. It is also a place to list relevant events, resources and services.
You do not need to register with the forums to read what people have said, but you do need to register if you would like to join in the discussions or contribute any information yourself.
Registering with the Ecology Forums is completely free, and anyone aged 18 or over can join - you do not need to be a member of the Ecology Building Society, or be an account holder.

C-Change Sustainable Homes discounts for eco-home owners

Committed to ensuring that our homes don't cost the earth the Ecology has launched C-Change Sustainable Homes - a tiered range of mortgage discounts that reward and encourage energy efficient housing.
As well as saving on monthly energy bills, green home-owners can reap further financial benefits through the discounts which offer between 0.5 and 1.25% off the Society's Standard Variable Rate (currently 6.45%). The level of discount depends upon the energy rating a new or existing eco-home achieves - the higher the rating, the higher the discount. And, because at the Ecology Building Society we believe that improving the energy efficiency of homes is a long lasting solution to climate change the C-Change Sustainable Homes discount comes with a life-time guarantee. Put this alongside cheaper bills, and lower carbon output and it's easy to see why a green homes can be a real saver!
