Adam and Angie’s story: from sheep dip to eco-office

Adam and Angie run their own business, Healthlines, supplying flower essences to natural health practitioners.

They wanted to extend their existing residential mortgage with Ecology, to create a purpose-built ecological workspace on an old sheep dip, next to their house in Cumbria.

Ecology provided a further advance to Adam and Angie's residential mortgage to enable Healthlines to move into the new premises, right next door to their home.

The new building includes high levels of insulation and lots of windows, which provide natural light and solar gain, so that heating and lighting costs are kept to a minimum. A sedum roof adds to the insulation and reduces water run off, and the site has 4,000 litres of underground rainwater storage.

Working in this beautiful space 15 yards from our own back door feels like a bit of heaven. Thank you Ecology.
