New Foresight system for Ecology

Yorkshire based Ecology Building Society, has introduced new computer systems. The new Foresight system covers the entire lending, savings and insurance operations of the Society and is supplied by Mutual Vision Technologies Ltd.
Foresight is a customer based system developed by MVT specifically to cater for the needs of smaller UK building societies. Central to the new system is the customer module, which provides a complete and instant picture of the customer and their relationship with the Society.
The Ecology, itself a part owner of MVT, is now one of twelve societies using or implementing the system. Other Foresight users outside the UK include The East Africa Building Society and The New Building Society of Guyana.
The new Ecology Building Society system replaces one partly developed by the current Chief Executive Paul Ellis in his former life as a computer programmer. Commenting on the changeover Paul said:
"As one of the fastest growing building societies we need the computer systems to match our ambition. The new software will help us to better understand and respond to the changing needs of our customers. Above all it gives us flexibility, being able to develop and launch products quickly and painlessly."
