Building Society announces exciting new management role to deliver community gain
Ecology Building Society has appointed a new Lending Development Officer, Jon Lee, to promote and develop the Society's growing commercial lending activities. Ecology is best known as the provider of green residential mortgages, but also offers a tailored range of mortgages that allow commercial borrowers to develop projects which benefit the environment and their local communities. Clients set to benefit include organic farmers, charities, housing co-operatives, small-scale property developers, environmental businesses and community enterprises.
Jon joins the Ecology having spent over nine years as Sustainable Business Development Manager for The Co-operative Bank in Manchester.
On taking on his new role, Jon commented, "I am really excited at the prospect of developing new client relationships and working for such a progressive organisation. Ecology Building Society has always placed sustainable development at the heart of its ethos. Our range of services will help us to add value to a host of commercial initiatives that deliver social and environmental gain. I want to get the message out there that we understand and prioritize the support of community ventures. We can offer flexible, competitive and straight-forward products, combined with a personal approach to relationship management that I believe can make a real difference to a wide range of worthwhile projects across the UK."
