Ecology Building Society to hold Annual General Meeting in Edinburgh

Ecology Building Society is excited to be holding its Annual General Meeting in Scotland this year. The Ecology's twenty-fifth AGM will be held at the innovative Our Dynamic Earth centre in Edinburgh on Saturday 22 April from 11.00am to 4.00pm.

The Ecology is a national building society with members in each constituent part of the UK and in order to reach as many members as possible the AGM is moved to a different location each year. Following the formal Society business in the morning session, this year's meeting in Edinburgh will include presentations from Jim Johnson of the Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA), Professor Sandy Halliday of Gaia Research and Neil Hammond a self-builder and renewable energy expert. While the formal part of the AGM may only be attended by qualifying members of Ecology Building Society, the afternoon session which commences at 2.00pm is open to all.

Ecology Chief Executive, Paul Ellis comments "We are proud of the Society's lending record in Scotland in support of sustainable housing, and pleased to be hosting our AGM in Scotland for the first time. In many ways, Scotland leads the UK in ecological building design so we are particularly delighted to be able to offer a range of presentations from leading Scottish exponents in the field."

The Ecology is a mutual building society offering green savings accounts and mortgages throughout the UK, for projects and properties that benefit the environment.
