Ecology appoints new General Manager (Operations)
Wednesday 24 January 2007
Ecology Building Society is delighted to introduce John Ainley as their new General Manager (Operations). In his new role John will oversee all aspects of internal operations and assist with the delivery of a high quality service to the customers and members of the Society.
John joins the Ecology from Bristol & West where he was a Business Development Manager, involved in the promotion of mortgage products to brokers and IFAs in and around West Yorkshire. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Society having previously held managerial positions with several other mortgage providers and building societies.
Ecology recently launched its new C-Change mortgage discount designed to help combat climate change. It is believed to be the UK's first and only mortgage product to directly encourage the take up of carbon saving technology. John is set to work closely with the mortgage department, and one of his first projects will be to help roll-out a procuration fee trial and introduce the new C-Change mortgage discount to brokers and IFAs.
Regarding his new role, John commented. "I am delighted to have joined the Ecology Building Society and look forward to making a contribution to its continued growth and success in its specialised but increasingly important marketplace. At a time when the focus is on green and environmental issues I am sure that the ethos and values of the Ecology will be welcomed by an ever-widening audience."
