Addendum to page 3 of the Foundations Cash ISA and Earthwise Cash ISA brochures:
Please note that on 1 January 2010 we changed the way that interest is earned on your account. We now calculate interest from the day we receive your deposit up to and including the day before funds are withdrawn or the account is closed. Any sums received by us outside normal business hours or on a non working day will be treated as having been received by us when we are next open for business on a working day.

NB: Please note the following addendum to our Terms and Conditions regarding transactions:

The central clearing cycle for cheques and automated payments is normally 3 banking days, however as the Society is not a clearing bank your cheque will take 7 banking days to clear.

Although you are normally able to withdraw against a cheque paid into your account 7 banking days from the day we have received it, this does not always mean that the cheque has been "cleared". If the cheque is not "cleared", you will have to repay us the amount of the withdrawal.
