Our Foundations Deposit account is a simple no notice account for charities and incorporated bodies who want to make a positive difference with their money. By opening a savings account with us, you're entering into a partnership to help build a more sustainable future.

We offer a fair rate of interest for all savers and you can manage your account by freepost or, subject to special terms and conditions, online. We pride ourselves in treating all members fairly and providing a personal and friendly service.

Best of all, you get the reassurance of knowing that your money is invested only in projects and properties that work for the good of people and the planet.

How can I access my money?

You can withdraw your money without notice and penalty-free by sending a withdrawal notification form or a signed letter.

How will you keep me informed about my savings?

We'll send you an annual statement every January, as well as a regular newsletter highlighting some of the projects your money supports. You can also view your savings account at any time using our Interactive service.

Does this account give me voting rights in Ecology?

No - this is a deposit account for organisations rather than a share account for individuals, so it doesn't enable you to vote at our Annual General Meeting.

How we use your money

How to apply

Save with us and you're helping to support sustainable development across the UK. The projects and properties we fund benefit the environment and local communities - whether it's an ecological new build, bringing a disused property back into use, or supporting a community enterprise.

We're proud to have supported over 2,000 projects since we started in 1981. Here's just one example of how we've helped:
