The Foundations Cash ISA is open to people aged 16 or over who are resident in the UK for tax purposes. If you invest in this cash ISA, you must not invest in another cash ISA in the same tax year.

How much can I save?
The minimum amount to open a Foundations Cash ISA is £25. The ISA investment limit for the 2013/2014 tax year is £11,520, of which up to £5,760 can be invested in a cash ISA with one provider.

How is interest paid?
We calculate interest on a daily basis and credit it to your account on 5 April each year. The interest rate paid applies to the entire balance in your account and we pay interest on all balances, however low.

How can I pay in money?
You can pay in money by sending a cheque in the post or transferring money via the banking system. We also offer a monthly savings option by direct debit or standing order (minimum £25 per month).

Can I transfer my cash ISA from another provider?
At present we do not accept cash ISA transfers from other providers.

How can I access my money?
You can withdraw your money without notice and penalty-free by sending a withdrawal notification form or a signed letter. The minimum withdrawal amount is £25.

How will you keep me informed about my savings?
We'll send you an annual statement every April, as well as a regular newsletter highlighting some of the projects your money supports. You can also view your savings account at any time using our Interactive service.
Are there any risk factors?
The interest paid is variable and may decrease. If your circumstances change and you no longer qualify for an ISA, or if the government changes or withdraws the ISA scheme, the favourable tax treatment of the ISA may end.
