How To Apply
If you're interested in joining Ecology as a saver, we'd love to hear from you.
You can find all the information you need about our accounts in our savings pages and by downloading our brochures. Or if you'd prefer, you can request a full information pack by calling us on 0845 674 5566 or emailing us via our enquiry form.
Before you apply for an account with us, if there's anything you don't understand or would like to ask about, please contact us - we'll be happy to answer your questions.
When you're ready to apply for an account, you can download an application form from the website. Make sure you use the right form for the account you've chosen.
Send your completed form back to us with a cheque for the amount you want to invest. If you've requested an application pack by post, we'll enclose a prepaid envelope for you to use.
We can accept your own personal cheque or, if you don't have a current account, a cheque from another bank or building society where you invest. If you are sending a non-personal cheque, you also need to provide a statement from that bank or building society.
Cheques should be payable to 'Ecology Building Society', followed by your name or names (e.g. 'Ecology Building Society re John and Jane Smith').

That's it! Unless we need any further information from you, your application will be processed and we'll get in touch to let you know when your account is opened.
If you change your mind about your choice of savings account within 14 days of opening your account, you can (unless it is a fixed rate account) ask us to help you switch to another of our accounts, or to give you all your money back with any interest earned. We'll ignore any notice period and any extra charges.
