We’ve Topped Ethical Consumer’s Mortgage and Savings Best Buy Tables

Ethical Consumer has named Ecology as its Best Buy for Mortgages and Savings Accounts, with a perfect ‘Ethiscore’ of 100 across both categories.

Ethical Consumer is the UK’s leading guide to ethical and sustainable living. Its ‘Ethiscore’ rankings evaluate companies across several key areas, including climate impact, company ethos, tax, lending practices and their loans & investments.

The team at Ethical Consumer highlighted the reason for Ecology’s perfect score was because our ethics are embedded into the organisation with a key focus on reducing climate impact and supporting community projects. The publication also mentioned our transparent and ethical lending policies and providing mortgages to specialist areas like eco-builds and to people wanting to improve the energy efficiency of their property.
