AGM Charity Poll 2018

Help us choose our AGM voting charity partner

Every year we make a charitable donation when members vote in our AGM.

International development charity Practical Action has been our AGM voting charity partner for the last few years and we’re asking our members to help us choose our next AGM voting charity partner.

Ecology colleagues and directors have nominated the following environmental and housing (or homelessness) charities. Members can choose their preferred charity from this list in our charity poll. Each of these charities is aligned to our mission to build a greener society – supporting positive environmental or social outcomes.

How to choose your preferred charity

Click here to visit our charity poll before 5pm on Friday 4 January 2019 and choose from the following nominated charities:

  1. Big Issue Foundation

The Big Issue Foundation seeks to deliver social and financial inclusion by supporting Big Issue vendors in the self-help process of buying and selling the Big Issue Magazine.

  1. Centrepoint

Centrepoint provides accommodation, health support and life skills for homeless young people, aged 16 – 25, to get them back into education, training and employment.

  1. Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth are part of an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it.

  1. Practical Action

International development charity, Practical Action, is a global innovator, inspiring people to discover and adopt ingenious, practical ways, such as renewable energy, to free themselves from poverty and disadvantage.

  1. Shelter

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services as well as campaigning.

  1. Trees for Cities

Trees for Cities is a tree planting, protecting and promoting charity based in the United Kingdom. It is the only charity working on an international scale to plant urban trees and create greener cities.

We donate 50p for every AGM vote cast online and 20p for every vote cast on paper. In 2018 we donated £500 to Practical Action as a result of AGM voting.

The charity poll is powered by our online survey partner, Qualtrics.
