Members’ Newsletter Autumn 2020

The latest issue of Ecology News, the newsletter for Ecology members, is now available to view here.

This issue focuses on the potential for a sustainable recovery.  We’re calling for the pandemic to be turned into a defining moment for climate change. Ecology is well placed to play our part in delivering a just and green recovery.  Instrumental in this has been the raising of £3 million of additional capital, marking the beginning of an exciting new era in our history.  We also feature the launch of the Government’s Green Homes Grant scheme which is helping homeowners make their homes more energy efficient.

Of course it’s the projects that are enabled by our savers’ money that are the real evidence of our success, and we’ve included some inspiring stories from our borrowers. This includes an update from Nith Valley Leaf Trust – the first community owned Passivhaus certified homes in Scotland – as well as projects in Leeds and Brighton that are enabling people access to affordable, quality homes within their local community.

We’ve also included an update on our latest news,  from the Bankers for Net Zero initiative, the results of our 2020 AGM and the installation of new EV charging points at our home in Silsden.

We do hope members enjoy reading about how we’re making a positive impact and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continued support.
