Members’ Newsletter Summer 2022

The latest issue of Ecology News, the newsletter for Ecology members, including a message from our new Chief Executive, Gareth Griffiths, is now available to view and download below.

In this issue, Gareth introduces himself and sets out his early thoughts on activities and priorities for Ecology, including a series of member events where he can hear from you directly, as we build on our heritage and take the next steps to accelerate our work to build a greener society, delivering even more real change at a time when the urgency of the climate crisis is becoming more widely recognised.

In support of our members’ priorities, we continue to focus on the critical requirement to transform the energy needs of our homes to get to net-zero. In this edition, we highlight how Ecology is calling for a national retrofit strategy and look at recent enhancements to our C-Change mortgage discounts.

Following two years of virtual-only meetings, this year’s AGM event took place at an Ecology-backed venue, The Mildmay Club in London, which is undergoing essential repairs. Further updates on some of our other sustainable projects can also be found in the newsletter, showcasing the positive impact our lending has on communities and the environment.

Our colleagues also share some of their achievements and commitment to the mission, from tree planting and charity events to our gardener’s new permaculture book release, amongst other exciting updates at Ecology.

We hope members enjoy reading about how we’re making a positive impact and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continued support and feedback.
